Peru!

It's been a while since my last post... how have you been?

Well, the Summer flew by as usual with many memorable weddings and events that I will cherish forever. Fall started off in Peru for me. What a phenomenal country. From Humbolt Penquins and Alpacas to sand dunes and the floating reed islands, and of course the Inca ruins. It was the food, music and people that made the experience for me however.

Here are a some pictures...

Jasmine & Alan

Jasmine & Alan tied the knot on June 27th. The day was perfect for an outdoor garden wedding and they both looked fantastic. The vibrant theme colours and absolutely fabulous head pieces just popped on film...

This bridal party was a blast to work with. They truly worked hard to make these pictures come to life... even if it meant holding up traffic.

Congratulations Jasmine and Alan!

Gibsons Getaway

After many many years of being a BC resident, I recently got the opportunity to spend a bit of time in the Gibsons area for the first time. I'm sure most of you are wondering what took me so long to make this trip and I've been wondering the same thing ever since. Boy, have I been missing out.

It is the perfect little getaway from the city. It doesn't take long to get to but feels like you are far far away. Perhaps it's all the quaint little seaside towns and friendly people or the refreshing air and gorgeous shores. Whatever it is, it's pretty spectacular.

BC is beautiful, isn't it?

A good start to the season

It’s my favourite time of year! Not only because summer is in full bloom, but because it’s wedding season, and this is when I get to play!

My first engagement shoot this year went extremely well. How could it not with such photogenic people as Angela and Gurpreet. Angela looked beautiful in a traditional Choli suit, and Gurpreet chose well by keeping it simple but chic. Both together make one good looking couple. We started at Queen Elizabeth for some fun in the park, then onto Gastown where Joe and I experimented with strobe lights…

London in 3 days

Well, all I can say is good times were definitely had in Londontown... thanks to Ian, the man with the plan. It was a bit of a whirlwind trip but nonetheless we managed to fit in the important things; Tower of London and bridge, sighting of the queen, Marks and Sparks, and a historical tour of some of London's oldest pubs.

and did I mention the beer...

Modern Portraiture

Hi again! Hope you are having a good June so far. It's been quite a hectic but exciting one for me. The last few weeks have included a last minute London trip (pictures to be posted soon), completion of my Modern Portraiture class, and my first engagement shoot of the year to kick off the wedding season.

Here are some recent pictures taken in class. These were taken without flash using hot lights and modeling lights...

Hope you liked them. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
